Use and properties of hemp
Hemp is a plant that in four months can reach four meters in height, with minimal use of irrigation and fertilizers. It is therefore capable of making efficient the use of resources it needs to live and grow, minimizing waste and optimizing time. Nothing is thrown away from the hemp: the seed is useful in gastronomy, the fiber surrounding the stem is used to produce paper and fabrics. The core of the stem, which is the most resistant part, is used in construction as a hemp-lime aggregate.
Hemp has insulating properties and when mixed with lime is a breathable and hygroscopic compound; this makes our pots not subject to external climatic changes and preserves the plants in a healthy and comfortable environment. In addition, hemp absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere: the amount of CO2 it captures is greater than that it emits during its life cycle. This makes it an ideal material to preserve the environment.
